However whilst initially setting up a CMS for your website to run on is more expesive, it may ultimately save you money in the long run if you plan to edit its content regularly.
A static website is the exact same as any other website, except you are unable to edit its content without a technical developer. Once the site is coded, there is no way to edit its contents without the help of a development team (like Digital Orbit).
