There were very different views about this film, but there is still lots of wizardry and action in Goblet of Fire. The most negative part of this film is said to be that fact that so much fat had to be trimmed. The book is almost 750 pages long, and making that into a two and a half hour film, means that there will of course be a fair bit of editing. “Michael Gambon, in his second round as Professor Dumbledore, still hasn’t brought audiences around to his interpretation of the role he took over after Richard Harris died, but it’s a small smudge in an otherwise spotless adaptation.–Ellen A.
